elephant paw
A large, fairly flat bun in the shape of an elephant's foot (3 toes) that my mum used to buy at the bakery when I was a kid. It was filled with apple and the top was covered with pink icing and chocolate shavings. Suitable for dividing up amongst a number of people. I've also heard it referred to as a kangaroo paw. They were delicious, but I haven't seen them around for quite a few years: Want a bit of elephant paw?
