Contributor's comments: Loser. Same like other regionalism -> Bogan. I heard this from my wife who grew up in the central west so I guess it is from the town Dubbo: "Your a bit of a dubbo."
Contributor's comments: We used this expression for a dope or idiot in Bondi, where I lived and at school in the 60's, I can remember airplane not flying to Dubbo for some reason, a strike maybe? That may be where it came from.
