horsey

a type of `bomb' dive. Jumping into water with one leg tucked under arms into the chest, the other extended straight out. Compare banana, can-opener, peg leg.

Contributor's comments: Horsey was in common usage in Broken Hill 40 years ago for this type of one leg tuck 'bomb'. Variation on this was to grab the tucked leg with both arms. Quality was judged by the increased noise on the ear drums. The greater the noise, the higher the water displacment.
