Colloquial surfing term for a kneeboarder - one who surfs on a board while kneeling: Hey, check out the cripple on that wave.
Contributor's comments: Cripple was used in Victoria when I first started surfing in the seventies. There were alot more kneeboarders surfing back then that what there are now. Have lived in Qld for about twenty years and the term is still used up here. The Coolangatta area has a still got a few kneeboarders hanging around.
