a person who refrains from personal hygeine and the wearing of shoes in order to "connect better with the earth". Often sports dreadlocks, tribal jewellery, fire sticks and drums. Distinguished from the "feral" because crustys are mainly urban based (apart from dance parties and logging protests) whereas ferals hang out in the bush all the time: Have you seen that crusty with the feathered head dress and the leopard tail?
