rah rah

a Rugby Union player or supporter: No good talking to him about the Socceroos, he's a 'rah rah!

Contributor's comments: I have a friend who lives in Geraldton WA and she uses this term frequently but in relation to some one going on and on about nothing or if she is talking and she feels you know what she is say she will you this term. That person was telling me about how to drive a 4x4 car and they went rah rah rah. You know what I mean rah rah rah!

Contributor's comments: In Western Australia, rah-rah-rah is used in the same way as someone may say blah-blah-blah, i.e. to fill in part of a quote without using all the words eg: "Winston Churchill told the people we would fight them on the beaches, rah-rah-rah".

Contributor's comments: Referring to Rugby Union Football.
