mozz

To interfere in someone succeeding at something. Usually done by praising them before hand: Frequently heard in AFL commentary. The commentor will say something like "He's an absolutely brilliant player. He'll kick this goal for sure". The player will then hook it, and kick the ball out of bounds on the full. The other commentor will then say " Oh no.., you've mozzed him".

Contributor's comments: I never realised this was a regionalism but thought it was in general use. It is very commonly used in Melbourne as "putting the mozz" on someone.
