I've been to Manly

When asked by someone if you have been overseas, not to be embarrassed by saying no, or just to make a joke: If asked by someone have you been overseas, the answer would be, "I've been to Manly". This regionalism is used in the southern suburbs of Sydney. I was brought up in Punchbowl, but I've heard some other southern Sydneysiders who know it as well.
