Contributor's comments: [Brisbane informant] We always did this when folding our socks after the washing in Brisbane. Each sock is placed flat upon the other with the toes and heels together and then the uppermost is folded over the one underneath it, to make a ball shape.Always had an idential pair to put on this way and soon knew if one had been left out of the wash. A great word. Must only have one use.
