Contributor's comments: In Adelaide, a murray maggie is the name given to the piping shrike, SA's state emblem.
Contributor's comments: In Northern SA and the Adelaide region, the murray magpie is the bird known elsewhere as the peewee. This is not the same as the piping shrike (SA's emblem) which is known as the magpie or white-backed magpie.
